Anticipation

What a great place!

601 – What a great place!

On the eve of my departure for what is certainly the longest and farthest trip I have taken in a long time, and as I anticipate seeing and doing many new things, I am reminded of how much I already have – who needs more. I am blessed not only with a wonderful family, friends, and life here in Santa Barbara, but also with many wonderful opportunities like this one I am about to embark on.

My plans take me to visit nephew Tim and his wife Ali in Reading, England, then on to West Dean College, an hour and half south-west of London. At West Dean I take an interview for possible acceptance and attendance at their Clock Restoration school starting in the fall of 2014. Following that, I go to Paris via the Chunnel to start the AHS Tour to many different places throughout France. Finally returning from Paris back home on the 29th of April.

I hope you enjoy this journey with me. Since this is my first venture into blogging, I am not sure how it will work out.  Sorry if this is not the slickest blog you have ever seen.  I am disappointing myself too – certainly lower than my usual standard.  But there you have it – going to have to work for now.

Blessings,
